Start with a discovery session where you understand the client's needs, goals, and challenges.
Once the consultation is complete, provide a detailed proposal outlining the scope, timeline, and costs involved.
After the proposal is accepted, your team works on designing and developing the solution.
Deliver the final product with thorough testing and client review.
All our developers are based at our headquarters in Ahmedabad, India — no outsourcing, no freelancers, no subcontracting. Every developer on your project is a full-time ThemeMakker employee working from our office at Titanium Heights, Prahlad Nagar.
Before your engagement begins, we share the exact profile of the developer assigned to your project — their name, experience level, technology specialisation, and portfolio of past work. You'll have the opportunity to evaluate their fit before committing. Once onboarded, you communicate with your developer directly via Slack, Teams, or your preferred tool — there's no middleman filtering your conversations.
Our team is led by directors Chintan Thummar, Shashi Rupapara, and Chetan Vora, each with 10+ years of hands-on experience — so the leadership overseeing your project isn't a sales team, it's the people who built the product.
Yes — our portfolio at thememakker.com/portfolio showcases 100+ projects delivered by our dedicated team across industries including government, fintech, healthcare, eCommerce, logistics, and more.
A few examples of dedicated team work:
Beyond the portfolio, you can also see our open-source and commercial template work on ThemeForest under our wrraptheme profile — 3,000+ sales on AdminX Free alone, 328 on Oreo, 230 on InfiniO. These templates are built by the same team that will work on your project, and they're publicly reviewable code you can evaluate right now.
If you'd like to see examples specific to your industry or technology stack, contact us and we'll share relevant case studies directly.
All ThemeMakker developers are full-time, salaried employees. We do not use freelancers, contractors, or outsourced resources on client projects.
This matters for four practical reasons:
The majority of our clients return for follow-on projects or extend their dedicated developer engagements beyond the initial term. We do not publish a single retention percentage publicly because project types vary widely, from short fixed-scope builds to multi-year ongoing engagements, and a single number would be misleading without that context.
What we can point to instead is verifiable evidence: our Clutch profile shows consistent 5 out of 5 ratings from named, verified clients. Our Upwork profile shows repeat hiring from the same accounts. Our ThemeForest reviews span 10+ years of buyers, many of whom come back for support and upgrades.
If retention rates are an important factor in your decision, we are happy to connect you with existing clients who can speak to their experience directly.
Our dedicated developers cover the full modern web and mobile stack. Below is what we work with across our core practice areas.
If you need a technology not listed here, ask us. Our team actively expands its stack and we will tell you honestly whether we can take it on rather than overpromise.
Yes. Many of our clients prefer to hire a dedicated squad rather than a single developer, particularly for product builds that require multiple disciplines working in parallel.
A typical dedicated team from ThemeMakker includes a frontend developer, a backend developer, a UI/UX designer, and a QA analyst. You can configure the combination based on what your project requires.
Team-based engagements follow the same model as individual hires: full-time employees, direct communication, your choice of hiring model (full-time, part-time, or hourly), and a single point of accountability through our leadership team.
Contact us with your project brief and we will recommend the right team composition for your specific scope.
We have delivered projects across 16 industries including eCommerce, Healthcare, Finance, Logistics, Education, Real Estate, Insurance, Agritech, Media, Travel, Fashion, Sports, Food, and Government.
When assigning a dedicated developer to your project, we match not just on technology stack but on relevant industry exposure. If your project is in healthcare, for example, you will not be handed a developer whose entire background is in eCommerce UI.
Visit thememakker.com/industries for an overview of our work across sectors. For specific examples relevant to your industry, contact us and we will pull together the most relevant portfolio items and team profiles.
We do not place junior developers on client-facing dedicated engagements. The minimum level for a dedicated resource is two years of hands-on commercial experience in the relevant technology, with most of our dedicated team members sitting at the three to six year mark.
Senior developers with six or more years of experience are available for more complex engagements including architecture-level work, technical leadership, and legacy system migration.
When we share a developer profile with you before onboarding, the profile includes their years of experience, the technologies they have worked with commercially, and examples of the projects they have delivered. You are not committing blind.
Yes, and we encourage it. Before any contract is signed, we share the profile of the developer we are proposing for your engagement. If you want to conduct a technical interview or a short evaluation task, we will arrange it.
This is standard practice for us, not a special request. We would rather take the time upfront to confirm the fit than have either side discover a mismatch after the engagement has started.
The evaluation process is straightforward: you review the profile, ask us any questions, schedule a call or technical session with the developer directly, and then decide. There is no pressure to proceed if the fit is not right, and we will propose an alternative if needed.
Onboarding follows a straightforward sequence that typically takes three to five working days from contract signature to your developer being fully active on your project.
Our developers work from Ahmedabad, India (IST, UTC+5:30). We have structured our working hours to provide meaningful overlap with both US and UK business hours.
For US clients (EST, UTC-5), there is a morning overlap window between 8:30 AM and 12:00 PM IST, which corresponds to 10:00 PM to 1:30 AM EST the prior evening. Most US-based clients opt for an async-first workflow with daily standups at either end of the overlap window.
For UK clients (GMT, UTC+0), the overlap is more comfortable. IST afternoon hours (1:00 PM to 6:00 PM IST) correspond to 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM GMT, giving a solid half-day of synchronous availability.
If your project requires extended overlap or a specific working schedule, discuss this with us before signing and we will confirm whether we can accommodate it.
We work with the tools you already use rather than forcing you into a new system. Our team is experienced with Jira, Trello, Asana, Linear, Notion, and GitHub Projects for task management. For communication, we use Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
For version control, all code is managed through Git. We work with GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket depending on your preference. You retain full access to the repository at all times.
Daily standups or weekly check-ins are conducted via video call. We can adapt the cadence to suit your schedule, whether that is a 15-minute daily sync or a longer weekly review.
You have direct access to your developer from day one. There is no account manager or intermediary filtering your conversations unless you specifically request one.
The developer is added directly to your Slack workspace, Teams channel, or communication platform of choice. You can message them, jump on a call, or share feedback in real time during working hours.
Our project lead checks in periodically to ensure quality and timeline adherence, but that is a support layer, not a gatekeeping layer. If you ever feel communication is not flowing the way you need it to, raise it with us and we will address it immediately.
All code, designs, and deliverables produced by your dedicated developer belong entirely to you. We do not retain any ownership, licence rights, or usage rights over work produced during your engagement.
This is formalised in writing before the engagement begins. Our standard contract includes an IP assignment clause that explicitly transfers all work product to the client upon creation, not just upon final payment.
We do not reuse client code in other projects, share it with third parties, or incorporate it into our own products. Our confidentiality practices are documented at thememakker.com/confidentiality.
Yes. We sign NDAs as a standard part of our engagement process, not as an exception. You can request an NDA before we even have a detailed discussion about your project if you prefer.
We have our own standard NDA template that has been reviewed by our legal team. If you have your own NDA template, we are happy to review and sign that instead.
For more detail on our confidentiality practices, including how we handle source code, client data, and third-party integrations, visit thememakker.com/confidentiality.
Our rates vary based on the technology stack, experience level, and hiring model you choose. As a general guide, dedicated developer engagements with ThemeMakker are significantly more cost-efficient than equivalent local hires in the US or UK, often by a factor of five to eight times for the same skill level.
We do not publish fixed rate cards publicly because project requirements vary and we prefer to give you an accurate quote based on what you actually need rather than a number that leads to surprises later.
Contact us with your tech stack requirements, experience level preference, and preferred hiring model. We will provide a clear, itemised quote within one business day.
The minimum engagement period for a dedicated developer is one month. This applies to full-time and part-time hiring models.
For hourly engagements, there is no minimum month commitment, though we typically recommend a minimum of 20 hours per week to maintain meaningful project momentum.
Most of our clients start with a one or three month engagement and extend based on progress. We do not lock you into a long-term contract upfront. The exit process is straightforward and documented in your agreement from the start.
We offer three dedicated hiring models to suit different project types and budget structures.
No. The rate you agree to is the rate you pay. There are no setup fees, onboarding charges, HR administration costs, or hidden line items.
When you hire through ThemeMakker, you are not responsible for the developer's salary administration, benefits, equipment, office space, or local employment taxes. Those are our costs to carry as their employer. You pay one rate and we handle everything on our side.
The only additional cost that could arise is if you request a change in team composition, a technology not originally scoped, or a material increase in hours beyond the agreed model. Any such changes are discussed and agreed with you in writing before they are actioned.
If you are not satisfied with your dedicated developer's performance, we will replace them at no additional cost. You do not need to raise a formal complaint, produce documentation, or justify your decision. If the working relationship is not right, that is enough of a reason.
Here is how the replacement process works:
Raise the concern with our project lead at any point during the engagement. You do not need to wait for a scheduled review or a sprint end. As soon as something feels off, tell us.
We will have a short conversation to understand the specific gap. In some cases, a change in working style or communication cadence resolves the issue without a replacement. We will only suggest this if it genuinely seems like the right fix, not as a way to delay the process.
If a replacement is the right outcome, we will send you a new developer profile within 5 working days. You review the profile the same way you did at the start of the engagement and confirm the fit before the new developer begins.
The handover from the outgoing developer to the replacement is handled entirely by us. You are not responsible for knowledge transfer, documentation, or briefing the new developer.
We place no cap on replacements. If a replacement developer also does not meet your expectations, we will find another. If at any point you feel we are genuinely unable to provide the right fit, you are free to end the contract without penalty. We would rather lose the engagement honestly than hold a client to a contract they are not getting value from.
If you are not satisfied with your dedicated developer's performance, we will replace them at no additional cost. You do not need to justify the request with documentation or go through an escalation process. Your satisfaction with the resource working on your project is non-negotiable from our side.
The replacement process works as follows:
Developer attrition is our problem to solve, not yours. If a developer assigned to your project leaves ThemeMakker for any reason during your engagement, we replace them at no additional cost and with no gap in your billing.
The replacement follows the same timeline as a performance replacement. We will propose a new developer profile within 5 business days of the departure. During the transition period, we take full responsibility for knowledge continuity.
In practice, this means our outgoing developer is required to produce a handover document covering the current project state, in-progress work, architectural decisions, and any unresolved issues before they exit. Your new developer is briefed on this documentation before their first day on your project.
We do not restart the billing clock on a new developer if the previous developer leaves. Your engagement terms remain unchanged.
Code quality is enforced through a structured review process that runs throughout delivery, not as a final check before handover. Here is what actually happens on every project:
The notice period to end a dedicated developer engagement is 10 days, stated in your contract from the start. You are not locked into a long-term commitment and there are no early termination penalties provided notice is given within the agreed period.
During the notice period, your developer continues working on your project at the same rate. You are not charged beyond the end of the notice period.
If you need to end the engagement immediately rather than serving the notice period, we can discuss an early release arrangement. In that case, a payment covering the notice period in lieu of the full term may apply, depending on the circumstances. This is handled case by case and we have never had a situation where a client felt the outcome was unreasonable.
At the end of the engagement, we provide a complete code handover including all repositories, documentation, credentials, and any work in progress. Nothing is withheld.
